Bountiful Baskets.....Love them!!!

Recently I heard of this company who sell baskets of fresh fruits and veggies. Go here to read more about them. It is a volunteer, non-profit company. So this morning at 8:30 I went and volunteered and then received my basket. It was really amazing to see how many people showed up to help, what a great way to bring a community together. I wanted to take a picture of my basket of items. I received a conventional fruits and veggies basket and a Mexican basket and only paid $24.00. The produce was all really fresh, authentic and just wonderful! I am so excited to get cooking. I am determined to use every bit of it....I'll post recipes as I go along.

 Here is my basket:

Looks Yummy Huh!!! I can't wait, tonight I am making Key Lime pie with those plump key limes!!!

Hi tootsie!

Krista was right, the link did not work.

I can't believe how much you got!! And, it all looks so fresh and lovely. I'm jealous - you know, I would do it if I didn't have to pick it up in IF. Key Lime pie - I'm sure yours will be scrumptious!

I loved the pictures at the Potato Museum! I will have to go there some day - Isn't it funny that you live somewhere all your life and don't go and see what tourists come here to see?!

See you tomorrow!

Love you,
Mom

yum! Looks delicious, whoever told you about those baskets is one awesome chicca...you should keep her around! Did I tell you that partly why Julie lost 30 lbs since Christmas has been bountiful baskets? Her and her kids eat every bit of it and she stopped snacking at night. She also exercises on the wii fit although I'm not sure how much that actually does.
