I know that I never will forget September 11, 2001!! I worked for Melaleuca at the time and I remember my Mom telling me what was happening before I left for work. I remember talking to people in New York and hearing the horror in their voices. MANY of them were calling to just talk and they didn't have power in their homes and MANY of them knew people that were affected by this horrific event! I felt so sad and Frank Vandersloot sent EVERYBODY home so they could mourn, have a moment of silence or take a chance to locate all their family members and make sure they were okay. I remember watching the coverage over and over again in disbelief!
Here is a picture of Ben's little brother Max. He served in Iraq for many months and it was so fun when he finally came home. We were able to get special permits to enter the Air Force Base and see as his plane came in. It was so sad and touching to see how many wives/husbands and children let their husbands/wifes, daddies or mommies go to serve our country. To see the happiness is their eyes is something I will NEVER forget. I am so thankful to all of those who serve our country diligently and sacrifice so many things, including their own lives to make our freedoms possible!! THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!!
WE LOVE YOU MAX!!!

Both September 11 and the day Max got back are both days that I will never forget either!
I absolutely agree, and these past handful of years I've come to love our military and country more and more - thanks for posting!
What a great post! I doubt any of us will EVER forget exactly what we were doing that morning. I am so thankful to those men and women who put their lives ont he line for our freedoms!
I,too, am grateful beyond words for those who serve our country. For those who sacrifice so much time away from loved ones, and those who give their lives. I'm grateful for their loved ones whose sacrifice is just as great. And Jessica, I'm so grateful to you, Benjamin and Stephanie for meeting Max that day when he arrived home from Iraq. THANK YOU!!! I love you!
