Time flys while you're having fun!

I haven't wrote about Emily's birthday yet, so....it was so much fun! We had a bowling party for her the weekend before with family and then had a little party at our house with just us on her actual b-day. She is getting so big, so smart, so grown-up so fast. She got SO many presents and was extra spoiled by her Grandparents and Aunts and Uncles!

Easter at our house was also so much fun! I decided this year (with the help of Elisa) that I would have the Easter Bunny visit our house on Saturday so we could concentrate more on the Savior on Sunday. I think it worked out great and will become a family tradition in our home. Here are some pictures of dying eggs with Emily, she had alot of fun.

Today I took some pictures of Emily and Caleb in their Easter outfuts. The weather eased up a little to get some great pictures of my little babies. I couldn't get a good picture of them together, I need help I guess!

I ABSOLUTLEY love my husband!

As I have said many times....Ben is such a wonderful daddy and husband! He is thoughtful and always considerate of what I need. Sometimes I think he knows what I need before I know what I need. Last night I was a little exhausted after getting home from the temple (this was at like 10:30 pm) and we had worked all day and I had been up most of the night with Caleb and not to mention had been at the doctor all morning with Caleb (who by the way weighs a whooping 21.8 lbs. and is almost 29 inches tall). So we got home and I told Ben we needed to make a trip to Idaho Falls and I thought it would be fun to bring his little sister with us. Instead Ben said "Why don't you and Courtney go alone and I will stay at home with the kids" I was so excited! This is just what I needed!
So today I got up and left around 10:30 and was gone until 4:30. Courtney and I had so much fun!!!!! We shopped and ate out (at TGI Friday and the waiter was a total dud!) We went to Kohls, Sam's, Target, Walgreens (3 of them) and Shoe Carnival...LOVED IT!!! Thanks Courtie!!!!!
I think Ben had fun too! He went to the store and the park. Had a picnic in our backyard, washed the windows and took care of the kids. What a great husband. He is pooped! And he even offered to put Caleb to sleep tonight. I love him and so glad that he is a wonderful man!!!
On a sad/happy note Emily is spending the night with Courtney tonight. I was planning on getting some things done, putting Caleb to sleep early and yet he is still wide eyed and bushy tailed.....I think he misses Emily too!!! :(

She loves her grandchildren and shows it in her actions and deeds. WE LOVE YOU!!!

Christian is almost as tall as me and loves to rub it in my face! He is such a handsome guy and we love to tease him. He will always hold a special place in my heart because he was the kid who made me an aunt.

March 16Th: My BFF Elisa. She is the best friend I have ever had!!! She is so smart and is always there to lend a listening ear!! I have known Elisa for 23 years now and we have stories to tell for hours and hours. Elisa and I talk almost everyday and we never have a silent moment. She is such a good mommy too! We weren't crazy...

So last night I added some new songs to my blog and one of them is called "We weren't crazy" and it totally reminds me of Ben and I. I also have been reading my journal from then and it is so funny!!! Basically we started dating in February of 2000 and dated on and off until he left on his mission in 2002. Life was crazy when we were dating, we were so twitterpated and it seemed like nothing on earth could break our stride. We had our moments :) but hey we live and we learn. One of the journal entries I love most was one time Ben came up to my house and my Mom made us popcorn and we sat on the couch the throwing it into each other's mouths. And then Ben decided to try one of those famous ear wax remover candles. We all laughed so hard. It makes me laugh to remember what dorks we were....(maybe we still are) Anyway Ben left on his mission and I was the faithful waiter, and he surprised me and came home 48 days early and everyone knew except me...nice huh! In the end it was easier because I didn't have to have a nervous breakdown waiting to see him at the airport or something. Anyway we got engaged 1 month later and I am pretty sure his family thought he was crazy to get engaged so fast, my parents were just relieved to have and end to my whining and I was so excited!! So to make a long story short.... "we were young, we were wild, we were restless......we were a lot of things but we weren't crazy" I love that man and I am so glad I took a chance on my feelings and chose to spend an eternity with him, no one else would do. (And I want blonde hair blue eyed babies.....hahah or should I say one blonde, one toe head)

"Love" Day

For Valentines Day my sweet husband took me on a trip...we went to Idaho Falls (hahah). Actually we went and stayed in the Destinations Inn theme suites motel. We stayed in the Thailand room and it was so beautiful!! It had a king size bed, chromatherapy champagne bubbler tub, aromatherapy steam shower, and stereo projection screen TV. It was beautiful, check it out here. We met up in Idaho Falls and picked up food from The Hong Kong. It was so yummy. When we got checked in we received sparkling cider and cheescake--yum! We enjoyed the night ALONE! :) The next morning we woke up to cinnomon rolls, yogurt parfaits and juice.
Thank you , thank you to My wonderful parents who came and stayed at our house overnight. I loved every minute of it, but I did miss my kids. It was the first time to ever go away and be alone in 3 years. We watched Fireproof (click here for the trailer). It was such a good show and made me appreciate so many things in my life, especially my husband.

Ben is such a wonderful man and I am so lucky to be is "bride". He always thinks of me and wants the best for our family. Not only did he take me overnight somewhere, but he also did everything for me all weekend long. He cleaned, took care of the kids, let me sleep in and take naps and so much more. He is so sweet and is everything I ever wanted....Love you babe! (sorry for the mush)
I had to throw these in because my mom made these cute hats and helped Emily decorate the cute cookies...what a great grandma!!

All canned out!

Oh my husband....period! Last weekend our local grocery store had a sale on strawberries. Well Ben decided to can strawberry jam. Although canning is not in season for everyone else, it is for Ben. We ended up canning 60 full pints and 23- 1/2 pints/. We will have jam for several years to come. The jam is delicious and well worth the 11 hours we put in. Here are some pictures.

And then....Ben decided we needed soup in our storage. Ben wanted to go to the cannery, but my Mom convinced me otherwise (thanks Mom!). Instead Ben decided to can our own soup. He chose Split Pea Soup (most likely the hardest and longest!) We spent over 8 hours canning. Luckily we had help from Ben's sister courtney (thank you!!! We love you Courtie!) We ended up with 23 quarts of Split Pea Soup and all together we had 3 sets of sore feet!

I had to throw in this picture of Caleb because his hair is out of this world!! He had it all spiked and cute for church and then came nap time!! This is how he woke up....crazy hair boy! Cute huh!!
